At Prolase Laser Clinic, we use the Syneron-Candela GentleMAX Pro – the leading machine in the industry known to permanently reduce and eliminate the growth of hair. The GentleMAX Pro uses both an Alexandrite and NdYAG laser. Our laser technicians "switch" between the two types of laser therapies depending on your skin type and courseness of hair.
01. What you should I do before my laser appointment?
Before your appointment, be sure to let your nurse know if you are pregnant, have allergies, have been tanning, or are taking any medications. These all may affect your candidacy for laser hair removal treatment.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment – especially if it’s your first time, or if you need to discuss changes in your health.
For laser hair removal treatments, you will need to cleanly shave the area that you plan to have treated. Do this the night before your scheduled treatment for best results.
02. How many sessions do I need?
Most clients are able to see results in 6-8 sessions. Each client may achieve different result based on a number of factors like skin type, and exposure tolerance to lasers.
03. What should I expect the day of the treatment?
Expect your nurse to confirm medical questions with you to ensure that you are cleared for treatment.
If applicable to your treatment or preference, apply numbing cream about 15 minutes before your treatment. Numbing ointment can be purchased in-office.
Expect your nurse to draw guidelines on your body using a white cosmetic pencil. These lines are temporary and can be easily wiped away with soap and water.
Please let your nurse know if you are uncomfortable at anytime during the treatment.
Expect your nurse to recommend an optimal time-frame for you to return to your next treatment session.
