IPL Photofacial is a treatment used for skin problems such as sun spot, acne scars, wrinkles, or a red complexion. The potofacial or Intense pulsed light, uses an intense beam of light much like a laser, the difference is that IPL uses a broad band of light instead of a narrow band used in laser treatment. It usually takes four to six session of therapy to get lasting results. With good skin protection the results can last up to one year.

What are suggested treatment intervals for photofacial treatments with the LuxG™?
Photofacials are usually performed every 3 to 4 weeks.
Is it normal if I lose some hair photofacial in the treatment area? Is this normal and is this permanent?
Hair reduction or loss in the treatment area is a potential side effect. Hair loss is usually temporary, but there is a small risk that it may be permanent. Before initiating treatment, you should inform all clients of the possible side effects, including hair loss or reduction in the areas to be treated for photofacials or pigmented lesions.
